26, 2011 - At 1756 hours, units the 2nd Battalion were
alerted to the 5000 block of A Street, NE for an
apartment. E27 responded second due as units arrived on
side Alpha of a three story apartment building with smoke
showing from the top floor. E27 found no basement, and
backed up E30. The fire was quickly knocked down. E27 then
checked the exposure apartments for extension. Find no
extension, the Box was held to two and two. E27 operated

25, 2011 - At 1552 hours, units with the Special Ops
Battalion were alerted to the 4400 block of Quarles
Street, NE for a roof collapse. E27 responded to the same
with T13 on the scene of a three story apartment building
with the same. Due to high winds, a large portion of the
roof had ripped off of the building, displacing
approximately 60 residents. E27 assisted with the removal
of the residents. The Southside Mass Casualty bus was also
called to assist with the evacuation. E27 operated for two

22, 2011 - At 2335 hours, units with the 2nd Battalion
were alerted to the 300 block of 36th Street, NE for a
house with one trapped. E27 responded first due and
arrived on side Alpha of a two story middle of the row
with fire showing from the second floor. The trapped
subject was being pulled out by neighbors as units
arrived. Two rooms were found off on the second floor and
quickly extinguished. The Box was held with one and one in
30 minutes. E27 operated for just over two hours assisting
investigators. |

18, 2011 - At 1325 hours, units with the 3rd Battalion
were alerted to the 4600 block of Hillside Road, SE for a
house. E27 responded second due as first arriving units
found a two story semi-detached with smoke showing. E27
arrived in the rear with the same, ran the 200' down a 7 foot drop to the backyard, over a fence, and around a
rottweiler. E27 cleared the basement and backed up E30
with a fire in the kitchen and dining room on the first
floor. The Box was later held to two and two. E27 operated
for one hour. |
