23, 2009 - At 0803 hours, Units with the 2nd
Battalion were alerted to the 4200 block of Edson
Place, NE for an apartment with one trapped. E27
arrived on side Alpha of a three story apartment
building with smoke showing from the first floor.
E27 found a fire in a bedroom, quickly knocked down
the same as Lt Forrester quickly located the
trapped subject. Pvt Waikart(Lineman) and Pvt
Sanders(Layout) removed the victim and turned them
over to awaiting EMS. The patient was transported to
the burn center with second and third degree burns
to 90% of his body. No extension was found and the
Box was held to two and one to assist investigators.
