23, 2008 - At 2122 hours, with E27 on another run as
well as multiple other units in the 2nd and 3rd
Battalions, Units with the 1st Battalion were
alerted to the 3400 block of East Capitol Street, SE
for an apartment. Normally 1st due at this address,
E27 managed to clear a previous run and go 3rd due
as units responded to the Box. E27 arrived and took
our assigned position with E10 finding a three
story, ordinary apartment building with smoke
showing from side Alpha. A small fire was found in a
second floor apartment with extension to the walls.
A quick knock down of the fire allowed the Box to be
held with one and one.
