5, 2008 - At 1851 hours, Units
with the 3rd Battalion were alerted
to the unit block of Galveston Street, SW for an
apartment. Due to all the regular Southeast
companies being committed on another fire, units not
normally due were dispatched on the initial alarm.
E27 arrived as the 5th Due Engine and assumed its
assigned duties as the RIT Engine, throwing ladders
and clearing windows on side 'A'. Companies
handled an apartment fire with no extension and no
reported injuries.
