Galveston St Apartment on #2

September 5, 2008 - At 1851 hours, Units with the 3rd Battalion were alerted to the unit block of Galveston Street, SW for an apartment. Due to all the regular Southeast companies being committed on another fire, units not normally due were dispatched on the initial alarm. E27 arrived as the 5th Due Engine and assumed its assigned duties as the RIT Engine, throwing ladders and clearing windows on side 'A'.  Companies handled an apartment fire with no extension and no reported injuries.
